Tasha Dezelsky // Portfolio

Translating a collection of 100 images that are stored in an Airtable API base into an interactive and responsive site, using HTML, CSS and JS coding language, as well as prototyping in Figma.

'Mermaids' is a website that I designed and coded for my 2nd year interaction class. The brief was to collect 100 images of our choice then swap our collections with a classmate, and make a website for their collection.

My classmate collected images of mermaids, and I divided them into 3 overarching categories. I wanted this website to feel ethereal, mystical and fantastical to reflect the subject matter, so I played with pastel colours, decorative typefaces and accompanied the collection of images with a poem that i thought was relevant to the specific section.
